Hatsune Miku 25NE and Kagamine Len 2N93-L, known informally as Hagane and Hankou respectively, have been perfectly chill and totally content for the past few years as the metalcore vocal duo Electric Requiem. So has their popular idol colleague, Kagamine Rin P4TN-R "Piano".
Then VOCALOID celebrities start acting weird, and going missing, and getting attacked, and suddenly, they end up investigating a tragic VOCALOID girl group with one of its former members, an aspiring rockstar Megpoid, and some journalist Len.
Surely, this has nothing at all to do with their former center. And surely, nobody's lying to everyone else... right???
this is a huge departure from the genre NSOTF is-- it's an action series and an idol series at the same time with some psychological thriller elements sprinkled in. I will try to make it work as well as i can!
